To all members of the Alcyone Circle

Dear friends,

As you already know from the Alcyone circle Newsletter nr. 16 our 1974 rally will be held on Saturday and Sunday the 17th and 18th of August.

We are welcome already on Friday the 16th in the yacht harbour of the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Zeil – en Roeivereniging at Muiden. Saturday morning at 9:30 sharp the captains’ “palaver” will be held in the clubhouse there.

From Muiden we intend to sail Saturday morning at ± 10:30 together to Volendam.

After arrival in the harbour of Volendam on Saturday we shall meet at about 7 o’clock in Café-restaurant Spaander, on the Northern side of the harbour,
for drinks and dinner.

Next morning, weather permitting, we are going to sail till about 12 o’clock, when we meet again aboard our ships.
To that purpose one or more of the ships will anchor to give the other ships the opportunity to moor alongside.
In this way it will be possible to have a look around and a drink aboard neighbour ships.
The exact spot where we will anchor, will depend on the weather and the direction of the wind.
During the dinner we shall let you know where we intend to anchor.

We all hope that a great number of ships will join the rally. It is necessary to know how many ships and how many people will be in Volendam.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you intend to come and with how many persons.
