We suggest an old-fashioned Summermeeting 2023
Now we think everyone put his Gunning-yacht ashore or in wintershed, it’s time to make our plans for next year. First, there will be no Wintermeeting in February or March 2023. Second, after so many years our stretchgoal will be organizing a Summermeeting again. Some owners getting older and for that reason alone it should be nice to meet again with ships now it’s still possible for everyone to come and join the party. In good weather we’ll offer you two options:
A weekend, June 24th 2023 at Schiermonnikpoog or
A short rally, June 244th 2023 starting at Lauwersoog, ending at Juist.
Plaese let us know what you prefer, so we can draw up the balance sheet. When you are enough interested, we’ll make a nice programm and itinerary. It’s 4 years ago we’ve had our last Rally with 10 Gunning-yachts ending at Baltrum, because weather wasn’t good enough to go further.

News of ships and owners
Bert and Janneke Glazenburg (Woest maar kalm) sold their house at Lauwersoog and bought in July 2022 an old farmstead at Bourtange. Bert is carpenter now and is working hard to make it livable. He is doing a great job there and both are very happy with their new life. He don’t know yet if Woest maar kalm will be present at Summermeeting, but in case it does not work out, he probable could assist on board of Sayonara or whatever.
