Introduction
So sorry, but for several reasons no Summermeeting this year. We’ve communicated that earlier in March. Nevertheless we hope all of you will have a fine sailing season. In de last weeks higher temperatures in Europe then ever. In Spain 40 ˚Celcius and even in Switzerland above the 30 ˚.
It seems summer season starts earlier than formerly.

News of ships and owners
Wiet Schwartz phoned us recently he has sold Cormorant Meermin to a young man in Amsterdam who wants to live on board because the housing shortage. We heard from Annemarie Kemme Cormorant Geertruida (of Niels & Angela Ruis) probability has been been sold. New owner unknown till now. After 43 years ownership Frans and Annemarie Kemme have decided to stop sailing with their loved Alcyone II Zeekoet II. At their age they have to change their course and go now for camping. We will miss them for sure, but have to accept the facts just like them. Frans and Annemarie will stay as Special member of the Alcyone Circle. Zeekoet II has been sold to Casper and Vivande Pronk. They stop the unfinished restaurationproject of Alcyone II and will sell her.

New member of the board
Since 1993 Arjen and Joost did a great job pushing Alcyone Circle going on. For almost 30 years they organized a lot of cozy and unforgettable
meetings and brought ships and owners together, making friends for ever. Joost unfortunately lost his brother Henk in 2016 and could not hold Vita Nova on his own. At the request of Arjen he stayed as board member. Never change a winning team!
In the last years Bert Glazenburg often was a helping hand behind the scenes. For that reason it is time now to get him officially ‘on board’.
We are very pleased welcoming Bert as our new vice president of the Alcyone Circle.

Administration
In the context of our voluntary contribution-policy, it would be great sharing the running costs 2022 for by exemple webhosting and domainname of our website alcyone-archive.org. We ‘ve in stock a new clubflag for you, handed out at Wintermeeting or Rally 2023.
